Isle of Man TT winner Dean Harrison secured five victories at the Oliver's Mount Gold Cup event last weekend. The Honda Racing UK rider triumphed in all four supersport races and the headline Gold Cup race.

Harrison's final win of the weekend brings his career total to 116 victories at the Scarborough venue. His dominant performance cements his status as one of the top road racers of the season, alongside Michael Dunlop.

Race Weekend Dominance

Harrison's winning streak began with the four official supersport races. He faced his stiffest competition in Sunday's third supersport race, where rival Peter Hickman seized the early lead. Hickman held the position until the fourth lap, when Harrison fought back to regain first place.

Harrison ultimately took the checkered flag 3.447 seconds ahead of Hickman in that race. His narrowest victory margin came in the final supersport-branded event, where he beat Tom Weeden by just 3.198 seconds.

The Gold Cup Feature

The weekend's headline Gold Cup race was briefly delayed due to rain. Once underway on the 2.43-mile course, Harrison powered his Honda to victory despite the tricky conditions. He finished ahead of Mike Browne and Peter Hickman, who narrowly held off Rob Hodson for the final podium spot.

Supersport machines were used in this feature race, though it was not officially categorized as a supersport event. This victory completed Harrison's five-race sweep of the meeting.

Hickman's Consistent Challenge

While unable to defeat Harrison, Peter Hickman proved to be his closest competitor. Hickman secured podium finishes in all five of his race starts across the weekend. His performance highlighted the competitive depth at the event, even in the face of Harrison's dominance.

A Notable Return

The 80th Anniversary Gold Cup event also marked the return of Davey Todd to road racing. Todd, Hickman's teammate at the 8TEN Racing team, competed for the first time since suffering injuries at the Daytona 200 in March. His participation added a notable subplot to a weekend largely defined by Harrison's success.
