The editorial policy of Thethrottlehand defines what the site will and will not publish. Our content covers the subject of the motorcycle, cross-cut by riding craft and the gear that goes with it. We do not publish betting content, invented quotes, or any material presented as health, legal or financial instruction. We do not report on the private lives of individuals. All content is written in British English for a European market.

Thethrottlehand separates reporting from reference material. Reporting, found in sections like News, covers current events and is time-bound. Reference material, such as Bike Model or Route pages, is intended as a lasting factual resource and is updated as information changes. Both types of content are held to the same standard of factual accuracy.

When a claim cannot be independently verified, it will not be presented as fact. Such assertions may be omitted or clearly labelled as unverified rumour, with the reason for doubt stated. We prioritise primary sources, such as official technical documentation or direct observation, over secondary reports.

Images used on Thethrottlehand are real photographs. Where a credit exists, it is displayed. We never use software-generated images of a real person's face. Photographs are selected for their relevance to the factual content and are accurately captioned.
