Sources and methods
Our news content is aggregated from a curated selection of published feeds and indexes of established news publications across our core European market. These sources cover the full scope of thethrottlehand’s editorial spine, which is the motorcycle, cross-cut by riding craft and the gear that goes with it. We monitor sections including Bikes, Gear, Racing, Law and licensing, and Electric and charging. Each incoming story is processed with automated assistance to extract the core facts, which are then rewritten into a concise, plain-English summary.
Every summary is clearly credited to the original publication from which the feed was sourced. We do not present any story as our own original journalism. If a factual claim, such as a technical specification or a regulatory change, appears in only one monitored publication, it is flagged within our system. Such single-source facts are included but are presented without amplification or additional commentary, maintaining a neutral tone.
The reference pages for bike models, helmets, race series, routes, and other stable topics are built differently. They are constructed from verified, non-time-sensitive facts gathered from multiple authoritative sources. Each reference page features a standardised facts table and is accompanied by a credited photograph. These pages are intended as objective starting points for research, not as reviews or news articles.
All content, both in the news stream and the reference sections, is subject to a scheduled refresh cycle. News summaries are updated as new information emerges from the source feeds. The factual reference pages are reviewed and updated on a regular quarterly basis to incorporate new models, rule changes, or other substantiated developments. This process ensures thethrottlehand provides a current and reliably sourced overview of the motorcycle landscape.
