MotoAmerica Supersport race results from New Jersey Motorsports Park were defined by rain and chaos on September 26, 2026. The premier classes battled a wet Thunderbolt Circuit under gray skies, with steady showers forcing schedule changes and strategic tire gambles across four feature races.

Multiple crashes and schedule changes disrupted the Supersport and Baggers events. Officials eliminated morning qualifying sessions for several classes. Supersport Qualifying 2 ran for 30 minutes on Saturday morning, with teams using the time to prepare for the expected rain. The race itself was shortened to 30 minutes. Six riders crashed during Supersport Race 1. Both Ryder Davis and Joseph LiMandri Jr. Crashed while running inside the top five. Brenden Ketelsen also crashed, exiting the race with a right arm injury, though he was able to race on Sunday.

Supersport Standings Tighten

Josh Hayes won his 91st career race in his 435th start. The victory moved him into third place in the Supersport championship battle, just two points ahead of Rahal Ducati Moto's Kayla Yaakov. Darryn Binder spun his rear wheel off the start line, dropping from the front row to 11th before recovering to finish fourth. Gus Rodio finished fifth. Karel Hanika, a two-time FIM World Endurance Champion, finished sixth in his MotoAmerica Supersport debut for Liberty Yamaha Racing. Bradley Smith finished sixth after running off course in the early laps.

King Of The Baggers Finish

Troy Herfoss claimed victory in Mission King Of The Baggers Race 1 by a razor-thin 0.035-second margin over teammate Hayden Gillim. Herfoss started from the pit lane after a strategic tire choice, using full slicks on the damp track. Kyle Wyman also started from pit lane after switching tires too late. Tyler O’Hara finished third, securing his second podium in two rounds.

Championship Implications

Nathan Gouker won his ninth race of the season in the Talent Cup, solidifying his 2026 championship bid. Sam Drane finished second, maintaining third place in the standings. Bodie Paige and Sanchez battled for the final podium spot, with Paige winning by 0.008 seconds. In Twins Cup, Isaac Woodworth won his maiden victory after the race was shortened to seven laps due to rain. Hank Vossberg, the reigning champion, led the opening lap before being passed and later crashed out of third place on the final lap, finishing 10th. A post-race penalty for passing under a yellow flag impacted the final order, dropping Nathan Gouker to third and promoting Bodie Paige to second. The unresolved championship battles continue as the season progresses.
