The 2027 MotoGP calendar has been officially released. It features 22 Grands Prix across 19 countries and five continents, described as the most international in the championship's history. The season runs from March to November.

New venues and replacements

Buenos Aires replaces Balaton Park on the schedule. Adelaide replaces Phillip Island as the host of the Australian Grand Prix. Both new venues are confirmed for specific rounds.

The Buenos Aires Grand Prix will take place at the Autodromo Oscar y Juan Galvez on the second weekend of April. It is the fourth round of the season. Adelaide Street Circuit will host the penultimate Grand Prix as Round 21.

Season structure and key dates

The season opens at the Buriram circuit in Thailand on 7 March. The paddock then travels to Losail in Qatar for the second round. A one-week break follows before the championship heads to the Americas.

The final pre-season tests are due to be held at Buriram one month before the season opener. The Qatar GP was originally scheduled for April but was postponed. More details on whether the Qatar GP will proceed in November are expected soon.

The season concludes with the Valencian Grand Prix at the end of November. Key European dates include the British Grand Prix at Silverstone on 15 August and the Portuguese Grand Prix at Portimao on 3 October.

Regional breakdown and special events

A total of 12 events will be held in Europe between mid-May and early October. Portimao will host the final European round before the Asia leg begins.

The calendar includes five double-headers and one triple-header. The only triple-header of the season serves as the launchpad for the Oceania leg.

The season launch will be held at Botafogo Beach in Rio de Janeiro. Liberty Media cited the move to Adelaide as a catalyst for global expansion. "Liberty Media hopes will help it attract other cities around the world," the company said.

The Australian Grand Prix is moving to the semi-urban Adelaide circuit. Other confirmed European rounds include Mugello, Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, Assen, Sachsenring, Brno, the Red Bull Ring, Misano, and MotorLand Aragón.
