Manx Grand Prix Qualifying Cancelled Due to Rain
The second day of qualifying at the 2026 Manx Grand Prix has been cancelled due to poor weather on the Isle of Man.

The second day of qualifying at the 2026 Manx Grand Prix has been cancelled due to poor weather on the Isle of Man. This decision comes after the first day of qualifying was also stopped due to a crash involving Italian competitor Salvatore Sallustro.
The Manx Grand Prix has already faced similar challenges to the 2026 Isle of Man TT, with day two's qualifying schedule cancelled due to poor weather conditions. The TT was heavily impacted by poor weather in late May/early June, with only four of the eight races scheduled actually being completed from start to finish.
A statement from the Manx Grand Prix explained that the decision to cancel qualifying was made due to the wet conditions on the roads and further rain forecast. The statement read: "Monday evening's qualifying session has been cancelled. Roads around a large section of the TT Course are wet and, with further rain forecast, conditions are not expected to have improved sufficiently for qualifying to take place."
Despite the cancellation, the Manx Grand Prix will continue on Tuesday, August 18, with qualifying for the Senior MGP/Supersport MGP categories, and the Junior MGP/Sportbike MGP classes. A one-lap Classic TT session will follow at 19:50pm.
The weather forecast for the next two weeks suggests that the Manx Grand Prix and Classic TT could be in for similar challenges. The Classic TT is set to wrap up on August 28.
