BMW Motorrad is launching a trio of limited-edition motorcycles to celebrate the Nürburgring circuit's 100th anniversary. Only 100 examples of each model will be produced worldwide, with a tiny UK allocation of just 23 bikes.

The special '100 Jahre Nürburgring' editions are based on the M 1000 RR, M 1000 R, and M 1000 XR. The German circuit officially opened on June 18, 1927, and these motorcycles are timed for a market launch in June 2027. BMW says the models are intended to link its road-going M machinery with the Nürburgring, a track the company has long used for development and testing.

Anniversary Styling and Equipment

All three bikes receive identical commemorative styling. The core feature is a historical Nürburgring Green paint finish, complemented by anniversary decals. Each model gets carbon wheels, black sub-frames and swingarms, and an Alcantara-look seat embroidered with '100'. The fuel tank is painted with Nordschleife decoration, and the airbox cover carries a special anniversary design along with a 'one of 100' marking.

Standard specification includes BMW's M Track Package. The M 1000 RR and M 1000 R also come with an M Cover Kit. As an extra, BMW is including an M motorcycle mat with the 100 Jahre Nürburgring logo and a rear paddock stand.

Model Lineup and UK Pricing

Beneath the special livery, the three motorcycles retain their distinct mechanical characters. The allocation for British buyers is extremely limited. BMW Motorrad confirmed the UK prices and availability.

Performance Characters

The M 1000 RR is described as the most track-focused model of the trio. It uses BMW's M-developed superbike package with a focus on aerodynamics, lightweight construction, and outright circuit performance.

The M 1000 R takes the same high-performance approach but in a naked-bike form. The M 1000 XR combines the M 1000 family's performance with longer-distance capability and comfort. With the market launch not expected until 2027, BMW indicates these limited bikes are aimed more at collectors than riders seeking a well-equipped M bike for regular road or track use.

The motorcycle launch is part of a wider BMW M and BMW Motorrad anniversary programme. The company will also offer six BMW M cars as 100 Jahre Nürburgring editions, including the M2, M3 Sedan, M3 Touring, M4 Coupé, M5 Sedan, and M5 Touring.
